Leadership-Based Service experiences are an essential element for students seeking admission to competitive colleges,or those seeking major scholarships at any college. Learn how to create a project that matches your interests and demonstrates to admission and scholarship committees why they should invest in you! Test Prep Boot Camp (ACT or SAT)

Beginning this year, college-bound students are taking a fully revised SAT and an updated ACT. With these changes, it is more essential than ever that a student knows what to expect and how to prepare for these exams. Whether your student is coming up on their Junior year or about to begin the college application process this fall, preparing for these exams with test problems from the official testmakers and tips from our experienced professionals will help them maximize their score potential. Students will also receive a personalized study calendar to follow at the end of the camp. Cost is $60 per subject (one 2-hour group session)or $200 for four subjects (four 2-hour group sessions) per student. (discounts & need-based scholarships available*)

The College Application Process – Intensive Workshop

If you are an upcoming Senior and anxiety about applying to college in the fall is threatening to ruin your summer, join us for a comprehensive workshop dedicated to helping you tackle all the pieces of the college application process. You’ll leave with a concrete school list, tools to help master the ACT and/or SAT, and a draft of your main Common App essay complete with comments from one of our experienced readers to carry you through the revision process. Cost is $599 per student for four 3-hour small group sessions (discounts & need-based scholarships available*)

Writing Bootcamp

Writing skills are essential for every student to master. Help your student gain comfort and confidence as they build on their existing critical communication skills. We will be offering workshops for a variety of age groups. Cost is $120 per student for four hours of small-group instruction broken into two days. (discounts & need-based scholarships available*)

9th & 10th Grades

11th & 12th Grades- focus on college-level writing and personal essay style writing for college & scholarship applications; college writing

Math Bootcamp – Pick Your Subject

Summer is a perfect time to get caught up on gaps in your math comprehension, or to build on your foundation and jump ahead for next year’s math class. We will offer three-day bootcamps for both Algebra and Geometry. Cost is $120 per student for six hours of small-group instruction broken into three days (discounts & need-based scholarships available*)

Transition to High School – for incoming freshmen

Start your freshman year prepared! Learn about organizational strategies, note-taking, test preparation, problem solving, tips for respectful self-advocating, and more! Cost is $60 for one student and one parent for one of the following 2-hour group sessions. (discounts & need-based scholarships available*)

Balancing Athletics & Academics – for all ages

New to high school and wondering how to participate in your favorite sport and balance your schoolwork? Already in high school and struggling to stay on top of homework and practice? Learn how to maintain that delicate balance from Hughes College Prep’s Athletics Specialist. Cost is $60 for one student & one parent for one of the following 2-hour group sessions. Mastering the Art of Study Skills – for all ages
