#1. KEEP YOUR GRADES UP!
We understand that summer is on the horizon, but your junior year grades are VERY important to potential colleges, so hold on for a couple more weeks and wait to welcome summer until school is out!
#2. CHECK IN WITH TEACHERS REGARDING LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
You should have already chosen teachers for your letters of recommendation, so before everyone checks out for the summer, see if your teacher(s) have yours finished. Being able to check your letters of rec off your checklist for college applications would be awesome!
#3. GOOD LUCK ON THE SAT AND/OR ACT!
For those of you taking the SAT and/or the ACT this month, best of luck! Remember to really focus on doing the best you can on this test – don’t treat it just as a practice test for next fall’s round of tests. You could potentially do very well on the test and not have to study quite as much for the fall tests!
#4. FINALIZE YOUR SCHEDULE FOR NEXT YEAR
Refer to our post about choosing classes for advice on creating next year’s schedule. Make sure to challenge yourself!
#5. SOLIDIFY SUMMER PLANS
Since you’ve had a month since our May’s To-Do list to think about summer plans, act on them! Get a job, internship or volunteering project lined up to make this summer really count!
