With spring break approaching, many students are planning college visits. This blog from the New York Times gives some tried and true advice, and also some fresh ideas. Try some tips this April and let us know what you think!
Also, a few more tips gleaned from U.S. News and World Report:
1. Drive don’t fly–get a feel for the real distance at least once.
2. Visit during less desirable weather (spring break is a solid bet!)
3. Ask to see another residence hall–try your best to get a tour of one you’re likely to be living in (not the newest, shiniest poster dorm)
4. Explore the peripheral areas. A college’s town is just as important as its campus.
